look at this!

the "after-show entertainment" at this year's Dancers Drummers and Dreamers was a performance by a local firedancer. a friend of mine clued me in to this, so I showed up after the main event and shot a hundred odd frames of this young woman. unfortunately not all of them turned out the way I would like-- I am becoming less of a fan of the 18/200 lens on my D70 right now. the focus sensitivity is really finicky, so manual is usually less help than auto, which takes too long to lock-in. *sigh* I did get some cool shots though; here's hoping I can get more work like this.
